Job Requirements

Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekend hours
ability to maintain physical stamina and mental attitude to work under pressure
ability to sit, stand, walk frequently and move through casino areas
ability to speak and hear effectively
ability to use hands for handling and feeling
ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
ability to reach above shoulder level, bend, stoop, squat, balance, kneel, lift and push/pull
ability to read, write, speak and understand English
ability to follow written and oral instructions
willing to work in smoke-filled and loud environment

Job Qualifications

Previous cashiering experience preferred
ability to deal with customers and co-workers in a tactful and respectful manner
ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
excellent communication skills both written and oral
ability to present information and respond to questions effectively
any combination of education, training, or experience providing required knowledge, skills and abilities
excellent time management, problem solving and organizational skills
minimum 18 years of age
flexible to work all shifts including holidays, nights and weekends
ability to perform combination of functions as needed

Job Duties

Receive payment from guests in the form of cash, credit cards, and room charges and comp slips
make change as needed
verify validity of charges
record charges and ensure vouchers are properly executed
make deposits and cash drops
complete appropriate cashier paperwork and reports
balance and secure bank
interact with co-workers and customers in a professional and polite manner
lead by example providing highest level of customer service
adhere to all Grand Sierra Resort standards
perform other duties as assigned
