Job Description
This opportunity is presented by a family-oriented McDonald's franchisee, a dynamic and community-focused branch of one of the world's most recognized fast-food brands. McDonald's has long been known not only for its commitment to delivering consistent, tasty meals quickly but also for its culture of growth, development, and career advancement for its employees. Operating within a franchise model, this McDonald's location emphasizes a family-centric approach, fostering an environment where teamwork, respect, and mutual support are paramount. With a reputation for creating satisfying career paths for its employees, this franchise offers a workplace where individuals not only serve delicious food but also build meaningful relationships and develop valuable skills that can propel their professional futures.
This role is for a Department Manager position within the restaurant, designed for individuals who aspire to lead, grow, and thrive in a fast-paced, customer-focused setting. The position starts at $14 per hour and involves managing various facets of the restaurant's operations, depending on the department assigned. Department Managers at this franchise play a critical role in ensuring that customers enjoy a fast, friendly, and accurate experience, while staff members are supported, coached, and developed. This includes overseeing systems such as Training, Food Safety, Inventory Management, and more.
The Guest Service Department Manager is responsible for creating an outstanding customer service experience by ensuring crew and managers execute sales promotions effectively, maintain service standards, and organize key service areas like the front counter, McCafé, and drive-thru. The Kitchen Department Manager focuses on maintaining high-quality food production standards, ensuring food safety, managing food costs, and training kitchen staff in all production procedures, especially when new menu items are introduced. The People Department Manager oversees recruitment, onboarding, training, scheduling, and ongoing motivation of the crew to meet sales and profit goals.
This role is ideal for motivated individuals with previous managerial experience, particularly in restaurant, retail, or hospitality environments who thrive in energetic, team-oriented workplaces. The franchise values positive team players with flexible schedules who enjoy a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Being at least 18 years old is required to qualify for a managerial role.
In addition to competitive pay, this franchise offers robust benefits including paid vacation (15-25 days), paid holidays, anniversary bonuses, and sabbaticals every ten years. Employees have access to education benefits through the Archways to Opportunity program, which offers high school completion, college tuition assistance, and ESL classes. Health benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, with additional support through pre-tax flexible spending accounts, disability insurance, life and accident insurance, and paid leaves of absence. The franchise also supports employees with service awards, employee resource connections, adoption assistance, and matching gift programs.
Joining this McDonald's family-oriented franchise means becoming a part of a supportive team that values your growth, achievements, and well-being. It offers a structured yet flexible environment where your efforts directly contribute to both your success and the success of the business. Whether your goal is to build a long-term career in the restaurant industry or to gain valuable leadership experience, this role offers a solid foundation with clear pathways for advancement and personal development. Make your move and start a rewarding career where your energy, passion, and dedication are not only appreciated but essential to the franchise's continued success.
