Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited medical assistant program
  • Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • Phlebotomy experience
  • Two years of related medical experience including EKG, injections, vitals, and triage
  • Two years of knowledge in examination, diagnostic, and treatment room procedures
  • Two years of knowledge in medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care
  • Two years of OSHA and HIPAA compliance

Job Duties

  • Assist healthcare providers during patient examinations and procedures, ensuring a comfortable and efficient environment
  • Perform clinical tasks such as taking vital signs, administering medications, and preparing lab specimens for testing
  • Manage patient records by accurately inputting information into electronic health records and maintaining confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations
  • Schedule patient appointments and coordinate follow-up care, ensuring optimal patient flow within the practice
  • Educate patients on their treatment plans, medication instructions, and preventive care measures
