Job Description
Crestline Hotels & Resorts is a distinguished hospitality management company known for its diverse portfolio of select service and extended stay hotels across various regions. The company prides itself on delivering exceptional guest experiences and maintaining high operational standards in every property it manages. With a commitment to excellence and innovation, Crestline Hotels & Resorts emphasizes a strong corporate culture that fosters employee growth, inclusivity, and professionalism. They are recognized for their strategic approach to hotel management, optimizing financial performance, and maintaining rigorous compliance with industry standards. The company's regional office in Virginia Beach, VA, serves as a hub for centralized operations and oversight, supporting multiple hotel properties to ensure seamless financial and operational management.
The Centralized Controller role at Crestline Hotels & Resorts is a pivotal position within their accounting framework, responsible for overseeing a dedicated team of Property Accountants who provide comprehensive accounting support to approximately 15-18 Select Service and Extended Stay hotels. This position operates within a centralized accounting environment and reports directly to the Director of Centralized Accounting. As a Centralized Controller, you will play a critical role in managing and training your accounting team to adhere to established standardized procedures and financial guidelines. Your leadership will ensure compliance with internal and external audit requirements, guarantee the accuracy of financial reporting, and maintain strict adherence to CHRI-established accounting protocols.
The role demands a high level of proficiency in financial analysis, cash flow management, and regulatory compliance, addressing everything from hotel revenues and expenses to balance sheet reconciliations and tax obligations. You will be responsible for analyzing significant financial data, identifying variances compared to budgets or previous years, and advising senior management on improvement strategies. Your expertise will assist in implementing cost-effective practices and internal controls to safeguard the company's assets and enhance productivity across all hotel operations. Additionally, effective communication across multiple levels of management — including Directors, Senior Management, and Hotel General Managers — is essential to successfully fulfill the duties of this position.
The Centralized Controller position requires an individual capable of working independently while maintaining a collaborative approach to problem-solving and policy development. With a strong emphasis on hospitality accounting standards and GAAP, this role is ideal for professionals seeking to advance their career within a reputable hotel management firm that values integrity, accuracy, and operational excellence. This hybrid role based out of the Virginia Beach regional office offers a dynamic, multifaceted career opportunity with Crestline Hotels & Resorts, focusing on delivering strategic accounting leadership to multiple hotel properties focused on select service and extended stay accommodations.
