Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of relevant experience in hospital or physician revenue cycle
  • Ability to work onsite in Bloomington, IN for 8-10 weeks training period
  • Availability for part-time work, Monday through Friday during lunch coverage
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Proficiency with medical scheduling software such as Powerchart
  • Ability to adhere to productivity, quality, and service standards
  • Capable of working effectively within a team environment
  • Initiative to take responsibility and meet set objectives

Job Qualifications

  • At least one year of experience in hospital or physician revenue cycle strongly preferred
  • Working knowledge of patient registration and financial clearance
  • High level of interpersonal and problem solving skills
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and maintain collaborative relationships
  • Ability to take initiative and meet objectives
  • Scheduling knowledge, medical terminology, insurance knowledge and medical office experience preferred
  • Customer service skills required

Job Duties

  • Scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing for Radiology and Cardiology
  • Reviewing and processing orders from Powerchart, request lists, and faxes
  • Providing excellent customer service related to scheduling of tests
  • Managing patient registration and insurance verification
  • Performing prior authorization and financial counseling/individual solutions
  • Handling cashiering and release of information
  • Adhering to departmental productivity, quality, and service standards
