Job Requirements
- high school graduate or ged or 2 years equivalent work experience
- graduate of an accredited surgical technology program
- at least one year experience as a surgical technician upon hire
- certified sterile processing and distribution technician within 12 months
- basic life support - cpr upon hire

- surgical scrubbing experience preferred
Job Duties
- maintains a safe, therapeutic work environment and addresses issues to appropriate departments
- adheres to principles of infection control including medical and surgical asepsis and isolation techniques
- demonstrates aseptic technique when required
- assures all equipment is functioning before use
- completes yearly professional development goals and actively participates in learning needs evaluation
- communicates clearly and appropriately with department manager, vendors, nursing staff, physicians and co-workers
- maintains a pleasant work environment for co-workers, patients and visitors
