Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years relevant work experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software
  • Experience with volunteer management and social media tools preferred
  • Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
  • Availability to work flexible and non-standard hours
  • Ability to obtain necessary credentials and clearance
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Must be mission-driven and team-oriented
  • Resume and cover letter required
  • Background checks including education criminal and driving
  • Local candidates preferred for Fort Campbell KY location

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years work experience in event management marketing retail customer service recreation facility or related role
  • Relevant experience in non-profit military multicultural or global organizations preferred
  • Strong interpersonal customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with computers electronics and software including Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of volunteer management software and social media platforms
  • Experience with Digital Cheetah preferred
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment handling confidential information
  • Demonstrated initiative self-motivation and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Basic math skills and knowledge of cash donation handling and reporting
  • Willingness to work non-standard hours
  • General knowledge of military community preferred
  • Ability to obtain and maintain required credentials including security screening and valid driver’s license
  • Ability to obtain and maintain valid US passport and foreign driver’s license if applicable
  • Strong advocacy for the USO’s mission

Job Duties

  • Execute day-to-day center operational procedures ensuring a cost-effective safe welcoming and clean environment
  • Monitor and maintain facilities and equipment ensuring readiness and safety compliance
  • Engage and interact with center visitors providing expert information and resolving issues
  • Help maintain center operations within budget including inventory reporting and cash handling
  • Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedure files for operational consistency
  • Support planning and execution of programs logistics inventory management budget and social media
  • Assist with program communications and awareness including social media content creation
  • Manage planning and evaluation of events and activities on and off military installations
  • Assist in reviewing and recommending new programs and services
  • Develop and maintain relationships with military community leaders partners donors and media
  • Coordinate resources including volunteers materials and supplies for events and programs
  • Communicate key information to volunteers manage volunteer database and recognition events
  • Direct volunteer applications training and improve volunteer participation
  • May operate USO or personal vehicle as required
  • Perform other duties including backfilling for management positions as assigned
