The role of Event Manager at CDS is a full-time position essential to the success of the in-store product demonstration programs. The Event Manager is responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and supervising a team of part-time Product Demonstrators who engage directly with Costco customers. This leadership role requires overseeing all aspects of product preparation and presentation with a focus on maintaining food safety and sanitation standards. Effective communication is vital in this position as the Event Manager must coordinate efforts between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators to ensure smooth operations. Additionally, the Event Manager will participate in grand openings of new Costco locations, handling the unique challenges and opportunities these events present.
Working at CDS offers a set schedule, typically Tuesday through Saturday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although occasional adjustments may be necessary depending on business needs. Job Requirements

- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills

Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services

- Participate in new location grand openings as required
