Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a premier event marketing company specializing in in-store product demonstrations and promotional events, particularly as the preferred in-house event marketing provider to Costco. The Event Manager position at CDS is a full-time role with a typical schedule of Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, though hours may vary depending on company needs. This role is centered on recruiting, hiring, and supervising in-store Product Demonstrators to ensure their readiness and professionalism at various Costco locations. The Event Manager will oversee all facets of product preparation and presentation, including adherence to food safety and sanitation standards, ensuring that all demonstrations meet CDS's high standards. Additionally, the role involves training Product Demonstrators not only in the technical aspects of demo preparation but also in delivering outstanding customer service to Club members.
Collaboration is a core component of the Event Manager's responsibilities. This position requires strong communication skills to liaise effectively between warehouse managers, vendors, and the team of in-store Product Demonstrators. The Event Manager also participates in new location grand openings, supporting these events from a demonstration and operational perspective. The role demands a detail-oriented leader who can manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced retail and hospitality setting, maintaining a balance between operational oversight and hands-on employee coaching and counseling.

- Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
- Detail oriented with excellent leadership and communication skills
- Proven ability to lead well performing teams

Job Duties
- Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
- Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
- Train Product Demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
- Communicate between multiple manager, vendors and demonstrators
- Participate in new location grand openings as required
