Job Description
Club Demonstration Services (CDS) is a leading event marketing company specializing in in-store product demonstrations. As the preferred in-house marketing provider to Costco, CDS delivers top-tier person-to-person marketing services designed to drive sales and enhance the customer experience. Their unique approach focuses on hiring and training knowledgeable Product Demonstrators who engage directly with Club members, showcasing various products in a personal and impactful way. CDS is known for its commitment to quality, excellent customer service, and support for both brand partners and retail locations.
Joining CDS means becoming part of a dynamic, growth-oriented company that values work-life balance and employee well-being. Their full-time Event Manager role offers a structured schedule from Tuesday to Saturday, typically 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, although this may vary based on business needs. Along with competitive benefits like medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) plan, and generous paid time off, CDS fosters a supportive environment for professional growth and success.
The Event Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of in-store events by recruiting, hiring, and supervising part-time Product Demonstrators. This role involves overseeing product preparation and presentation, ensuring high standards of food safety and sanitation are maintained. Training responsibilities include equipping demonstrators with the skills needed to prepare for demonstrations effectively and deliver excellent customer service.
Strong communication skills are essential in this position, as the Event Manager acts as a liaison between warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstrators. They coordinate efforts to maintain seamless event execution and actively participate in new location grand openings, supporting the launch of CDS services in fresh retail environments.
This full-time position is ideal for candidates with several years of experience in retail, hospitality, or food service environments, who are detail-oriented, possess leadership abilities, and can exercise independent judgment while managing teams. The role demands flexibility and the ability to thrive in fast-paced settings, ensuring teams are motivated and well-supported to meet and exceed expectations.
