The role of Event Manager at CDS is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing the recruitment, hiring, and supervision of in-store Product Demonstrators. This full-time position operates on a set schedule Tuesday through Saturday, from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, with variations depending on business needs. The Event Manager plays an integral role in maintaining the highest standards of product preparation and presentation, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation protocols. Additionally, the manager is tasked with training and mentoring part-time demonstrators to deliver exceptional customer experiences that positively impact sales and brand loyalty. Effective communication is essential in this role, requiring collaboration across multiple stakeholders including warehouse managers, vendors, and demonstration staff. The Event Manager also participates in significant events like new Costco location grand openings, representing CDS and strengthening partnerships with clients and stakeholders. Job Requirements

  • High school education or equivalent
  • Two to four years of related experience in retail, hospitality, or food environments
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Proven ability to manage and lead teams effectively
  • Ability to work independently and exercise good judgement
  • Experience in coaching and counseling employees
  • Capacity to thrive in a dynamic, fast paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school education or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Recruit, train and hire part-time staff
  • Oversee product preparation and presentation, including food safety and sanitation
  • Train product demonstrators in demonstration preparation and excellent customer services
  • Communicate between multiple managers, vendors and demonstrators
  • Participate in new location grand openings as required
  • Supervise and support product demonstrators during events
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and standards
