The role of Ready Mix Driver at Vulcan Materials Company is vital to the delivery and quality assurance of construction materials that impact millions daily. Job Requirements

  • must possess a commercial driver’s license
  • must have a valid DOT physical or ability to get one
  • knowledge of operating and servicing ready-mix trucks preferred
  • familiarity with Department of Transportation rules and regulations preferred
  • willingness to work overtime and extended hours
  • ability to work in outdoor weather conditions and handle loud noises
  • clean and safe driving record
  • ability to safely operate and control equipment

Job Qualifications

  • possess a commercial driver’s license

Job Duties

  • promote safety throughout the operation in accordance with MSHA and Vulcan standards
  • operate ready-mix truck following federal, state, and company regulations
  • receive and evaluate load slump and transport concrete to job sites
  • maneuver truck on job site and attach chutes to discharge material
  • clean truck to minimize concrete buildup
  • perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete daily equipment reports
  • complete required forms, service reports, and tickets
  • coordinate closely with dispatch, maintenance, and plant management
  • perform physical activities including cleaning, climbing ladders, hanging chutes, and lifting up to 50 pounds
  • perform other duties as assigned
