Job Description

Sysco is a leading global foodservice distribution company dedicated to providing high-quality products and unparalleled service to restaurants, healthcare and educational facilities, hospitality businesses, and other customers who prepare meals away from home. The company operates with a mission to consistently deliver the freshest products, exceptional quality, and expert solutions that help customers succeed in the competitive foodservice industry. With an extensive network of distribution centers and a commitment to innovation and sustainability, Sysco serves as a trusted partner in the foodservice supply chain.

Located in New Braunfels, TX, Sysco is hiring local CDL-A Delivery Drivers who will play a critical role in the company's operations by ensuring timely and safe delivery of various food and beverage products to customers. This is a full-time position, starting at an attractive base wage of $27.39 per hour, with additional earnings potential through component pay based on cases handled, mileage driven, and stops made. Drivers enjoy the benefit of home nights and weekends, promoting a healthy work-life balance, with flexible scheduling options including 4- or 5-day workweeks from Monday to Saturday.

As a CDL-A Delivery Driver at Sysco, your primary responsibility will be to safely operate a tractor-trailer and manually deliver a diverse range of products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies, directly to customer locations. This role demands reliability, strong customer service skills, and physical stamina to handle freight weighing between 40 to 60 pounds on average, with occasional loads up to 100 pounds. Delivering with a positive, friendly attitude and building strong relationships with customers are essential to ensure their needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded.

Sysco values the growth and development of its employees, offering ongoing training in job skills and leadership, along with career advancement opportunities through promotion from within. Comprehensive healthcare benefits become available to new hires shortly after employment begins, providing peace of mind alongside paid vacation and holidays. Additional incentives include retirement benefits, employee discount programs, service recognition, referral bonuses, and safety programs to support a secure and rewarding work environment.

This position requires candidates to be at least 21 years of age, hold a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with a clean driving record, and pass a pre-employment drug screen. Effective communication skills in English are necessary, along with the flexibility to work occasional overtime, weekends, and holidays as business needs dictate. Preferred candidates will have prior experience in customer delivery, handling hand carts or hand trucks, food and beverage industries, and demonstrate a consistent work history. Sysco is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring all qualified applicants receive fair consideration regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, veteran status, or any other protected status under the law.
