Job Description

SP+, a Metropolis company, is a trailblazer in the artificial intelligence industry, specializing in revolutionizing parking experiences through advanced computer vision technology. The company’s unique approach enables checkout-free parking services, eliminating the need for tickets, machines, apps, or credit cards. Instead, customers enjoy a seamless "drive in and drive out" experience. As the largest parking network in America, SP+ operates with over 23,000 employees across more than 4,000 locations in North America and Europe, making a significant impact on mobility services. Their innovative solutions are designed to simplify everyday life, making the simple act of parking a hassle-free process and paving the way for future technologies that aim to power checkout-free experiences everywhere.

SP+ is currently seeking a Shuttle Driver DOT to join their dynamic team. This role is fundamental to providing safe, reliable, and courteous shuttle bus transportation to passengers, ensuring they reach their destinations in an efficient and comfortable manner. The position demands an individual committed to delivering exceptional client and customer service, adhering to SP+ standards known as the SP+ Promise, which prioritizes positive customer interactions and assistance. The Shuttle Driver will undertake vehicle inspections, maintain vehicle cleanliness, fuel buses, and assist disabled passengers while committing to a professional and punctual attendance record. This role requires managing safety protocols rigorously, including reporting any accidents or safety hazards and communicating maintenance concerns effectively.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with the necessary passenger endorsements, accompanied by a current DOT medical card, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The job necessitates a special blend of driving skills, operational oversight, and customer service, highlighting the importance of thorough knowledge of local and major routes, landmarks, and transportation hubs. This awareness aids in providing seamless travel assistance and directions to customers, enhancing their overall experience.

SP+ provides a supportive work environment emphasizing safety, reliability, and community impact. The Shuttle Driver role also includes occasional cross-function responsibilities such as substituting for cashiers or valets when authorized and assisting the Facility Manager with miscellaneous duties. The company places importance on maintaining a neat and professional appearance and expects all employees to be in uniform while on duty.

The job offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24.00 to $26.50 and provides a robust benefits package that includes medical, dental, vision insurance, flexible spending accounts, long and short-term disability coverage, life insurance, accident insurance, a 401(k) plan, and paid time off. SP+ is committed to equal employment opportunities and fosters an inclusive workplace free from discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, age, national origin, and other protected characteristics.

In addition, SP+ supports the use of Automated Employment Decision Tools (AEDT) for assessing candidate qualifications objectively. For candidates in New York City, alternative selection process accommodations are available, reflecting the company’s commitment to accessible and fair recruitment practices. The company is located in Windsor Locks, Connecticut, and offers special shift requirements based on location needs, including potential third-shift or weekend work. This position represents an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking to contribute to a pioneering company reshaping the parking and transportation industry while building a rewarding career in a growing field.
