Job Requirements

  • high school diploma or GED or equivalent
  • 12 months commercial driving experience
  • valid CDL-A with doubles endorsement
  • must be 21 years of age or older
  • meet all state licensing and certification requirements where applicable
  • clean motor vehicle report for past 3 years
  • pass post offer drug test
  • pass criminal background check as part of post offer process
  • pass road test
  • holds or can obtain valid DOT health card
  • able to hand-lift and utilize equipment such as two-wheeler and lift gate to move product cases

Job Duties

  • perform all required safety checks including pre and post trip inspections
  • report all safety issues and repairs required
  • follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines
  • inspect trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
  • ensure all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load
  • drive and deliver trailers according to predetermined route schedule
  • perform hook and unhook procedures per safety guidelines
  • park and store tractor trailers in designated areas
  • ensure all equipment and freight are appropriately locked and secured
  • collect and secure damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer
  • unload all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers
  • complete daily record of hours of service and log entries in accordance with regulations
  • perform general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and trailers
  • perform other related duties as assigned
