The role of Local CDL Delivery Driver at FreshPoint in Avon, MA, offers a compelling career opportunity for individuals holding a CDL-A or CDL-B license who are eager to join a dynamic team. This full-time position is designed for drivers who value home time—offering routes that get you home daily, typically in time for dinner after 10-hour shifts that start early in the morning between 12:00 AM and 3:00 AM. Candidates can expect to earn an average minimum pay of $86,000 annually, with the potential to earn up to $92,000 based on performance and experience. The CDL Delivery Driver plays a critical customer-facing role by operating daily local delivery routes with frequent stops, ensuring the safe and timely delivery of fresh products. Responsibilities extend beyond driving to include careful handling and unloading of goods, verifying deliveries with customers, and maintaining strict adherence to Department of Transportation regulations. The driver also supports warehouse operations through tasks such as cross-dock picking and occasional assistance with palletizing and loading. This position requires physical activity such as lifting, pushing, and stacking products weighing up to 100 pounds, and navigating ramps, stairs, or docks in varying weather conditions.

FreshPoint values candidates who come with at least one year of route delivery experience, preferably in operating straight trucks and who hold a valid Commercial Driver's License Class B, with Class A preferred. The company fosters a culture of safety, accuracy, and customer service excellence, making it an ideal fit for hardworking, dedicated professionals who want to grow their careers within the food distribution industry. FreshPoint’s commitment to equal opportunity employment ensures that all qualified applicants will receive consideration without discrimination based on race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or veteran status.
