Job Requirements
- perform daily preventative maintenance including fueling, cleaning, tire and light inspection, checking and adding fluids
- operate water hoses to clean mixer between loads
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- assist maintenance with repairs
- visually inspect concrete consistency
- communicate verbally with coworkers via direct conversation, two-way radio, or hand signals
- document delivery tickets accurately
- ensure delivery tickets are signed and returned
- exercise good judgment for work site access and operation
- maintain professional appearance and courteous manner
- assist in training coworkers
- understand and follow lockout/tagout procedures
- comply with OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations
- follow safety policies and procedures
- capable of climbing stairs and ladders
- tolerate prolonged standing, walking, balance, bending, crawling, kneeling, pushing and pulling
- demonstrate normal neck range of motion
- lift objects of various weights and dimensions
- operate hand controls and foot pedals
- perform sustained overhead reaching
- use vibration tools
- tolerate outdoor environmental conditions including high noise and working at heights up to 9 feet
- work early mornings, evenings, Monday to Friday, and every other Saturday
Job Qualifications
- must be at least 21 years of age
- possess a Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
- one-year experience operating tandem trucks or ready mix truck preferred
- possess a safe driving record
- maintain an active DOT qualification
- ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- ability to work well in a team environment
- self-motivated
Job Duties
- perform daily preventative maintenance on vehicles
- conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- clean mixer between loads using water hoses
- assist maintenance with vehicle repairs
- visually inspect concrete consistency
- communicate and direct coworkers verbally or via two-way radio
- provide and manage delivery ticket documentation
- ensure delivery tickets are signed and returned
- exercise good judgment at work sites regarding access and unloading
- maintain good customer relations and professional demeanor
- assist in training co-workers as needed
- demonstrate knowledge of lockout/tagout procedures
- ensure compliance with OSHA, DOT, EPA regulations
- follow all safety policies and procedures
- perform other duties as required
