Job Requirements
- Must hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle
- must be at least 21 years old
- must pass DOT physical examination
- must pass background checks and drug screening including a 10 panel drug test
- must have the ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- must be able to travel frequently
- ability to sit for prolonged periods in a trailer cab
- must comply with customer-specific grooming requirements if applicable
Job Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- ability to speak professionally and courteously with customers and staff
- must hold a commercial driver’s license (CDL) or chauffeur's license as appropriate
- ability to remain focused in a busy environment
- must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state transportation regulations
- must pass DOT physical for operating trucks over 10,000 lbs
- must be at least 21 years old
- ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
- ability to travel frequently
- willingness to comply with customer requirements such as being clean shaven when required for delivery
- excellent safety awareness and adherence to transportation laws
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- transport loads safely and in a timely manner over required routes
- maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
- assist with loading or independently load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed
- maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork and deliver documentation to appropriate staff
- facilitate routine service on trucks including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air levels and report maintenance malfunctions
- arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- perform other related duties as assigned
