Job Requirements

  • Hold a valid commercial driver's license or chauffeur's license appropriate for the vehicle
  • pass background check and drug testing according to DOT regulations
  • successfully complete DOT physical examination
  • be at least 21 years old
  • comply with customer grooming requirements when applicable
  • be physically capable of prolonged sitting and lifting up to 40 pounds
  • be available for frequent travel
  • pass a 10-panel drug screening

  • ability to remain focused in a busy environment
  • must hold a commercial driver's license or chauffeur's license based on state and vehicle weight
  • must pass background and drug testing as required by federal and/or state DOT regulations
  • must pass DOT physical since trucks driven are over 10,000 pounds
  • must be at least 21 years old to operate company vehicle
  • ability to sit for prolonged periods
  • ability to lift and move up to 40 pounds
  • must be able to travel frequently
  • may be required to be clean shaven for specific customers
  • willingness to comply with safety sensitive position requirements including a 10-panel drug screen

Job Duties

  • Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
  • transport loads safely and timely over required route, obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
  • maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas, following loading crew signals
  • assist with loading or load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when needed
  • maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading, and other required paperwork and deliver documentation to the shipping office
  • perform routine service checks on trucks including oil, water, gasoline, and air levels
  • report maintenance malfunctions to the Shipping Supervisor
  • arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading patterns
  • perform other related duties as assigned
