Job Requirements
- Hold a valid commercial driver's license or chauffeur's license depending on state and vehicle requirements
- Pass background and drug screening as required by federal or state DOT regulations
- Pass a DOT physical examination
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Ability to lift 40 pounds
- Willingness to travel frequently
- Meet customer-mandated grooming standards such as being clean shaven when necessary
- Commitment to safety-sensitive position conditions

- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Ability to remain focused in a busy environment

- Suitable physical stamina for prolonged sitting in trailer cab
Job Duties
- Operate vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws
- Transport loads safely and timely over required routes obeying all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Maneuver truck and trailer into loading and unloading areas following loading crew signals
- Assist with loading and unloading goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted
- Maintain signed invoices, shipping bills of lading and required paperwork delivering documentation to appropriate staff
- Facilitate routine vehicle service including checking oil, water, gasoline, and air and report maintenance issues
- Arrange trailers in shipping yards for optimum loading patterns
- Perform other related duties as assigned
