Job Description

SRS Distribution Inc. is a leading distributor in the building materials industry, recognized for its dedication to quality, reliability, and customer service. Operating through a network of subsidiaries, SRS Distribution serves a diverse client base with a commitment to delivering excellent products efficiently and safely. One of its branches, Heritage Pool Supply located in Melbourne, FL, is a key hub providing essential materials with a focus on innovative supply chain management and customer satisfaction. The company prides itself on being an equal opportunity employer, promoting inclusivity and providing reasonable accommodations to ensure an equitable hiring process. With comprehensive benefits and a strong safety culture, SRS Distribution prioritizes the well-being and development of its employees.

The CDL Driver - Hazmat role at Heritage Pool Supply is a vital position responsible for the safe and timely delivery of products, particularly hazardous materials, to customer locations and job sites. This role demands a meticulous adherence to all DOT (Department of Transportation) and FMCSA regulations, ensuring legal compliance and safety on every route. Drivers in this role will operate commercial vehicles with a Class A or B CDL license, accompanied by a Hazmat endorsement, reflecting the responsibility carried in handling and transporting hazardous goods.

The position involves local travel starting and ending at the Melbourne branch, with drivers expected to conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections. Attention to detail is crucial as drivers must secure loads properly, separate hazardous materials as per regulations, and double-check orders to minimize errors and enhance customer satisfaction. The CDL Driver - Hazmat role also supports job site safety by identifying and reporting potential hazards, contributing to a safer working environment for all involved. Photographic documentation of delivered products and maintaining accurate records of deliveries and vehicle inspections are essential administrative duties.

This role offers competitive weekly or bi-weekly pay with discretionary bonuses and a robust benefits package, including 401(k) plans with company match, paid time off, medical, dental, and vision insurance, life and disability coverage, and wellness programs. Candidates should be physically capable of handling freight up to 100 pounds and meet the DOT medical certification standards. The company fosters a safety-first mindset, dependability, and excellent customer service, recognizing that their drivers are more than just product movers—they are ambassadors of trust and reliability.

This position reports directly to the Branch Manager and does not have direct reports. While no prior commercial driving experience is strictly required, having such experience and familiarity with DOT/OSHA regulations is highly beneficial. Preferred qualifications include endorsements for air brakes, forklift operation, and experience with both manual and automatic transmissions. Through this employment opportunity, drivers become integral to SRS Distribution's mission of dependable, compliant, and efficient delivery services that support the broader supply chain and customer satisfaction objectives.
