Job Requirements

  • Valid Class A or B commercial driver’s license
  • Current DOT medical certification
  • Completion of FMCSA registration
  • Ability to continuously lift and handle freight/materials up to 100 pounds
  • Must be 21 years old if job involves interstate travel or transporting hazardous materials
  • A clean driving record with no hit and runs and no DWI/DUI in the last 18 months
  • Knowledge of FMCSA regulations and DOT compliance and OSHA safety regulations
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to work in warehouse and varied weather and traffic conditions
  • Use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to lift, bend, crouch, and stand for prolonged periods

Job Qualifications

  • Air brake endorsement preferred
  • Experience operating manual or automatic transmission vehicles preferred
  • Valid forklift certification preferred
  • Valid Moffett certification preferred
  • Prior commercial driving experience preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Follow all DOT (Department of Transportation) rules and maintain a clean driving record
  • Inspect vehicles before and after trips
  • Load, unload, and organize orders at customer sites and branch locations
  • Understand and adhere to FMCSA regulations
  • Review and confirm purchase orders and delivery tickets
  • Support job site safety by identifying hazards
  • Take photos of delivered products as required
  • Keep accurate records of deliveries, vehicle inspections, and receipts
