Job Description
Vantive is a vital organ therapy company dedicated to extending lives and expanding possibilities for patients and care teams worldwide. With a rich history spanning 70 years, Vantive has been at the forefront of meaningful innovations in kidney care. The company continuously builds on its legacy by enhancing the dialysis experience through advanced digital solutions and comprehensive services. Vantive's mission goes beyond kidney care as it invests in transforming therapies for vital organs to improve patient outcomes and care team efficiency.
Vantive stands out as a leader in the kidney care space, offering a culture that fosters meaningful and impactful work for its employees. The company values focus, courage, and a commitment to excellence, attracting team members who are passionate about improving patients' lives globally. Joining Vantive means becoming part of a community that strives to deliver longer and fuller lives for patients through innovative therapies and exceptional care.
The role of Service Specialist (CDL Delivery Driver) at Vantive is a critical position responsible for ensuring the safe delivery of dialysis products to a diverse home patient base as well as kidney dialysis centers. This role operates 18 to 24-foot commercial vehicles and involves frequent interaction with patients, care teams, and internal departments. The Service Specialist is tasked with delivering dialysis solution, managing stock rotation, ensuring order accuracy, and occasionally handling order pick-ups and returns. Scheduled on a four-day workweek from early morning to mid-afternoon, this role also includes 1-2 overnight trips per week with provided hotel and meal per diem, ensuring weekends off.
Vantive offers a competitive hourly wage starting at $28.08, translating to an estimated annual salary range of $51,200 to $70,400, depending on location, skills, and experience. Employees enjoy comprehensive benefits from day one including paid time off, paid holidays, medical, dental, disability, and life insurance coverage. Additional benefits like vision, voluntary benefits, paid parental leave, retirement savings plans, flexible healthcare spending accounts, educational assistance, and opportunities for overtime work further enhance the compensation package.
This physically demanding role requires delivering up to and sometimes exceeding 45 cases per delivery in both urban and rural settings. The Service Specialist works closely with multiple levels across the supply chain, including dialysis patients, regional office staff, customer service teams, and healthcare professionals. Operating various material handling equipment such as lift gates, pallet jacks, stair climbers, and walkie riders is essential, making safety and adherence to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies paramount.
Working conditions are variable and often challenging, involving repetitive lifting of cases weighing up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, crouching, kneeling, and exposure to extreme weather conditions. Effective communication skills, keen attention to safety, and the ability to work efficiently and effectively within a team are vital for success in this role.
At Vantive, employees are part of a transformative journey to revolutionize treatment landscapes and positively impact patient lives worldwide. The company is firmly committed to equitable pay and inclusive hiring practices, evaluating all qualified applicants without discrimination. Reasonable accommodations are provided to individuals with disabilities, ensuring a supportive and accessible workplace environment. Vantive also actively educates candidates about recruitment fraud to protect job seekers.
By joining Vantive as a Service Specialist, you will contribute directly to the company’s mission of extending lives and expanding possibilities, while enjoying competitive pay, exceptional benefits, and a supportive community focused on innovation and patient care.
