CDL D - Local Route Driver

This full-time position is with a reputable seafood delivery company specializing in delivering fresh seafood products to restaurants across the regions of Louisiana (LA), Mississippi (MS), and Alabama (AL). The role of a Local Route Delivery Driver involves managing daily home-based deliveries with routes typically including 4 to 5 stops, servicing various restaurants in the assigned areas. The driver’s responsibilities include loading deliveries appropriately and ensuring correct product placement within the restaurants without engaging in any stocking duties, except for oysters. The position demands a blend of driving, handling perishable seafood products, and occasional warehouse duties on non-delivery days. Besides the usual weekday schedule, candidates must be willing to work weekend shifts on a rotating monthly schedule. This ensures continuous service coverage and meets the demands of the seafood industry.

Drivers are expected to maintain the quality and safety of seafood throughout the delivery process, handle products with care, and communicate effectively with restaurant personnel. Physical stamina is necessary as lifting up to 90 pounds may be required during loading and unloading tasks. This job offers an hourly wage ranging from $17.50 to $21.00, dependent on experience, and comes with a comprehensive benefits package.
