The Driver, Formula CDL-A position is an essential role within the company, critical to maintaining the efficiency and reliability of America's food supply chain. Responsible for operating tractor-trailers or straight trucks, the driver ensures the safe and timely delivery of food and food-related products to customers across intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and overnight assignments. This role demands a high degree of professionalism as drivers act as the company's public face, building lasting relationships with customers through courteous and dependable service.
The position offers competitive pay starting at a minimum of $350 per day, structured on a component pay basis, with a work schedule of 4 to 5 days per week, excluding Sundays, featuring split days off and average shifts lasting between 10 to 12 hours. Dispatch times fall between 12 AM and 5 AM based on assigned routes. As a Driver, Formula CDL-A, adherence to safety regulations is paramount. The role requires performing thorough pre- and post-trip inspections, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and promptly addressing any safety concerns. Drivers are accountable for correctly securing freight, accurately completing all freight-related paperwork, unloading products, and verifying deliveries with customers. Additional duties include managing cash or check collections, handling damaged goods and customer returns, and maintaining the cleanliness and security of equipment and trailers.

Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- minimum 12 months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- at least 21 years old
- meet state licensing and certification requirements
- clean motor vehicle record for last 3 years
- pass drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- have or be able to obtain DOT health card
- able to perform physical lifting and operate moving equipment during shift
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
- 12 plus months commercial driving experience
- valid CDL-A license
- must be 21 plus years of age
- meet all state licensing and/or certification requirements where applicable
- clean motor vehicle report (MVR) for past 3 years
- pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
- pass road test
- attains or has valid current DOT health card and/or able to secure new DOT health card
- ability to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight of varying size and weight throughout the shift
Job Duties
- Communicates and interacts with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally ensuring questions are answered accurately and in a timely manner
- functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and perform any duty assigned to best serve the company
- performs all required safety checks including pre/post trip inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to Department of Transportation regulations
- reports all safety issues and/or repairs required
- follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies
- immediately reports all safety hazards
- inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
- performs count check of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded
- checks and completes in an accurate and legible fashion all required paperwork associated with freight
- moves tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailer as needed
- drives to and delivers customer orders according to predetermined route delivery schedule
- unloads products from the trailer, transports items into designated customer storage areas
- performs damage control checks on items, scans, and contact supervisor about removing orders according to company policy
- verifies delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- collects money (cash or checks) where required
- loads customer returns onto trailer and secures trailer doors
- ensures that tractor, trailer, and freight are appropriately locked and always secured
- unloads damaged goods and customer returns and bring to the driver check-in and complete necessary paperwork
- unloads all equipment, materials and remove trash from trailers as required
- completes daily record of hours of service and enter in log in accordance with Federal DOT, state, and company requirements
- performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area and keep trailers clear and clean as required
- at the end of the shift secure all equipment and complete all necessary paperwork
- performs other related duties as assigned
