As a Driver Trainee, candidates will undergo a structured training program that includes the PFG Entry Level Driver Trainee or Dock to Driver Training Program. The role demands meticulous attention to detail in conducting pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections, handling freight accurately, and maintaining proper documentation. Beyond driving, the role also entails responsibilities such as loading and unloading products, securing freight, managing customer returns, and performing routine maintenance and housekeeping duties to ensure vehicle and trailer cleanliness and readiness. Candidates must be prepared to handle product cases and freight weighing up to approximately 60 to 90 pounds, utilizing equipment like two-wheelers and lift gates safely. Compliance with all Federal and State laws, including maintaining a valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and DOT health certification, is mandatory.
