The company prides itself on building strong, collaborative relationships with its clients through a dedicated team of sales representatives, chefs, consultants, and industry experts. Each of these professionals works closely with customers to enhance their business operations, refine menu selections, and optimize product offerings. This customer-focused approach sets PFG apart as a trusted partner in the foodservice industry, contributing significantly to the success and growth of its clients.

Employment at PFG comes with a range of benefits including competitive pay, day-one health and wellness insurance, a 401K plan with employer matching, an employee stock purchase plan, educational assistance, paid time off, and more, ensuring that employees are well-supported both personally and professionally. The company is committed to maintaining a culture of respect, recognition, and safety, reinforcing its reputation as a top employer in the logistics and food distribution sector.
The role of the CDL-A Driver at Performance Food Group is critical to the company’s mission of delivering high-quality food products safely and efficiently. As a CDL-A Driver, you will be responsible for operating tractor trailers or straight trucks to deliver food and food-related products to a variety of customers across intrastate and interstate routes, including over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and drive-and-drop assignments. This role requires a steadfast commitment to safety, as all operations must comply with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety policies. Each driver is also an ambassador for PFG, tasked with fostering positive customer relationships and ensuring prompt, professional service.
Drivers perform essential pre-trip and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle safety standards and identify any mechanical issues or safety hazards. They are responsible for loading and unloading freight, verifying shipment accuracy against customer invoices, and completing all required paperwork with precision. Effective communication with customers, vendors, and team members is paramount to the position, as is the ability to handle physical demands such as lifting and maneuvering freight using various equipment like hand trucks and lift gates. CDL-A Drivers at PFG play an integral role in supporting America’s food supply chain, helping to keep communities well-stocked with fresh, high-quality foods through dependable, on-time deliveries. This full-time position offers a competitive annual salary range of $85,000 to $100,000, with a Monday through Friday schedule and early morning dispatch hours from 4 am to 6 am. The job not only provides a stable income and comprehensive benefits package but also the pride of contributing to a company that values safety, integrity, and customer satisfaction at every turn.
