This position is for a Customer Delivery Specialist based in Glenwood, IL, responsible for the safe and efficient delivery of Nalco equipment to customer locations. As a vital member of the logistics team, the role ensures that delivery schedules are met within a local 200-mile radius, maintaining equipment operation and safety standards throughout. The position offers a competitive hourly wage of $26 to $28, with overtime opportunities and flexible start and end times based on customer needs.

The Customer Delivery Specialist will operate various vehicles, including 22-foot dual axle delivery trucks, and must safely maneuver equipment using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand carts. The role requires technical aptitude for equipment maintenance tasks such as filter changes, tank exchanges, UV replacements, and troubleshooting including calibration of meters and clamping hoses. Daily mechanical and safety inspections of delivery trucks and equipment are mandatory, as well as adhering to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

This role demands strong communication with sales personnel and supervisors to report field issues and collaborate on meeting customer requirements. The employee must consistently wear safety gear and stay updated on safety practices, emphasizing a proactive approach to hazard recognition and accident prevention.

Job Requirements

  • 3 years of an acceptable motor vehicle record
  • Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Safely operate vehicles including 22-foot dual axle delivery trucks
  • Deliver, unload, and exchange Nalco equipment at customer locations
  • Perform maintenance tasks on Nalco equipment such as changing filters, exchanging tanks, or replacing UV components
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues including calibration of meters, changing pumps, and clamping hoses
  • Make between 2 to 10 deliveries per day as required
  • Operate forklift, pallet jack, and handcart for equipment handling at warehouse and customer sites
  • Maintain vehicles and equipment with daily and periodic safety and mechanical inspections
  • Follow DOT regulations and maintain accurate delivery location maps
  • Keep driver hours of service records using Samsara or paper logbooks
  • Communicate regularly with sales and supervisors regarding field and safety issues
  • Collaborate with Nalco sales team to fulfill customer needs
  • Wear appropriate safety gear during all delivery operations
  • Stay updated with safety techniques and improve driving and safety skills
  • Identify and avoid workplace safety hazards
