Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of truck driving experience
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Physically able to load and unload cargo
- Ability to stay overnight at company paid hotels during route relays
Job Qualifications
- One or more years of experience in truck driving
- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
- Knowledge of safety regulations and traffic laws
- Ability to operate a 26ft straight truck
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail
Job Duties
- Load and unload cargo safely using equipment like hand trucks, manual pallet jacks and liftgates
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies while driving long or short-haul routes
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to identify maintenance needs or safety issues
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients to confirm delivery schedules and address any route changes or delays promptly
- Participate in route relays requiring overnight stays at company paid hotels
- Work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and overtime hours
