Job Description

The hiring establishment is a leading logistics and transportation company specializing in efficient route delivery services. With a strong commitment to operational excellence and customer satisfaction, this company has built a reputation for reliability and professionalism in the transportation industry. They operate in a fast-paced environment that requires skilled drivers to handle daily routes involving multiple stops, package handling, and strict adherence to delivery schedules. This company values safety, customer relations, and effective communication as core elements of their business operations, fostering a supportive and collaborative work culture for their employees.

The role offered is for a dedicated route delivery driver responsible for managing daily delivery routes with frequent stops. The successful candidate will be tasked with loading and unloading packages onto hand trucks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to designated customer storage areas. The driver will operate within a cross-dock model, which involves picking up a loaded truck from a nightly delivery at the assigned loading dock and returning the empty truck to the assigned lot at the end of the route. This position demands physical stamina, as it includes frequent lifting of packages weighing between 1 to 75 pounds, sometimes up to 100 pounds, as well as bending, twisting, and maneuvering in various weather conditions.

In addition to the physical demands, the route delivery driver will provide excellent customer service by verifying deliveries, obtaining proper signatures, handling customer complaints professionally, and communicating any discrepancies or errors to management. The role also includes responsibilities such as performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections according to Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company policies. Candidates must demonstrate strong customer relations skills, the ability to operate vehicles safely under a variety of traffic and weather conditions, and the capability to follow written safety rules.

This is a critical role that supports the company’s commitment to delivering superior service through dependable and skilled drivers. The employee is expected to occasionally assist with loading trucks, palletizing products, and performing other duties as assigned by supervisors or managers. The company values adaptability, effective communication, and teamwork, encouraging employees to develop a good working knowledge of product handling and inventory control techniques. This full-time position offers an opportunity for individuals seeking a stable career in transportation with potential for growth within an established company dedicated to employee safety and customer satisfaction.
