Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- one-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- valid commercial driver's license Class B
- ability to read and speak English
- ability to operate vehicle in various traffic and weather conditions
- ability to meet or exceed productivity levels
- physical ability to lift products up to 80 pounds
- ability to climb on and off truck
- frequent bending, squatting, pushing and pulling
- ability to work in confined spaces
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED or equivalent
- one-year route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- valid commercial driver's license Class B (Class A preferred)
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with general public and understand highway traffic signs
- strong customer relations and problem resolution skills
- ability to meet or exceed productivity levels
- effective work planning and organization skills
- knowledge of product and inventory control techniques
- good communication and arithmetic skills including handling money
- adaptability and building customer trust
- follow-up and communication skills
Job Duties
- Provide technical, customer relations, and personnel management for major programs and projects
- run routes efficiently, meeting or exceeding designated route times
- unload product from trailer by hand or using a hand cart and place in designated customer storage areas
- frequently lift, push or move products weighing up to 100 pounds
- verify delivery of items with customer and obtain proper signatures
- contact management for authorization when discrepancies on invoice and communicate all errors and returns
- handle any customer complaints professionally
- perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and adhere to safety rules
- organize the truck and make deliveries efficiently
- check truck operability before routes
