Job Description
Kodiak is an innovative company at the forefront of autonomous trucking technology, revolutionizing the transportation industry with its advanced AI-powered systems. As a leader in autonomous ground technology, Kodiak is committed to redefining how freight is moved safely and efficiently. Trusted by commercial partners and the U.S. Department of Defense, Kodiak's technology is making real-world impacts across the southern United States. The company’s mission to bring safer roads, smarter systems, and next-generation logistics solutions positions it uniquely in the rapidly evolving transportation sector.
This role is centered on the OSS Driver, Commercial (On-Site Support Driver), working within Kodiak's cutting-edge operations. The position offers a unique opportunity to be directly involved in the implementation and support of self-driving truck technology. Drivers in this role operate on local routes within the Permian Basin, ensuring not only the safe and efficient transport of materials such as sand but also the ongoing performance and uptime of the autonomous fleet. This involves hands-on responsibilities including responding to live dispatches, assisting in truck recovery and repositioning, and operating commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) alongside autonomous assets.
In this high-tech role, you will be collaborating closely with elite teams of engineers, operators, and field experts to continuously improve the system’s safety and efficiency. Kodiak emphasizes safety not merely as a priority but as a core mission. Every mile driven contributes to raising industry-wide safety standards, making this job critical not just operationally but also strategically for the entire transportation landscape. The position is structured on a 4-on/4-off rotating schedule with 12-hour shifts, offering a competitive hourly wage of $39 per hour, which translates to an annual pay of approximately $86,000. This is a fantastic opportunity for CDL-A drivers who wish to engage with next-generation technology while enjoying local work with a stable schedule and impactful daily responsibilities.
