Job Description
System Transport is a well-established transportation company that has been a vital part of America’s freight industry since 1972. Known for hauling essential goods and materials that build and maintain the infrastructure of the country, System Transport operates with a strong commitment to safety, reliability, and driver satisfaction. The company offers a unique blend of the resources you might expect from a large carrier, combined with the personalized service and close-knit culture of a smaller company. This makes System Transport an attractive employer for drivers who want to be part of a proud legacy while enjoying the benefits of a supportive work environment. System Transport’s focus on flatbed trucking reflects its specialized expertise in handling complex and varied cargo, positioning it as a leader in regional freight services. The company is currently expanding its Western regional operations and is looking for experienced CDL-A flatbed drivers to join its team.
The role of a CDL-A Flatbed Driver at System Transport is designed for individuals with a dedication to professionalism, safety, and customer service. This position is a regional route offering, allowing drivers to balance time on the road with regular home time. Drivers will be compensated with a competitive pay package that ranges from $46,748 to $90,792 annually, depending on experience and other performance factors. The hourly mileage rate varies from $0.59 to $0.73 per mile, and drivers can also earn accessorial pay including tarp pay, stop pay, detention pay, border crossing pay, safety bonuses, and over-dimensional freight pay. The company’s commitment to drivers extends beyond pay, with full benefits including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short and long-term disability coverage, health savings accounts, and a 401(k) plan with matching contributions. Additionally, System Transport offers a generous PTO policy, a transition package, and an employee assistance program.
Joining System Transport means more than just earning excellent compensation; it means becoming part of a team that values driver well-being and offers supportive onboarding through paid orientation hosted at their Spokane, Washington office. Orientation expenses such as airfare, lodging, and meals are covered by the company, ensuring new drivers start off on the right foot. System Transport also maintains a strict no-pet policy but allows riders aged 7 and older after 90 days of safe driving, creating a family-friendly atmosphere on the road. The company’s culture is built on pride, strength, and teamwork—summed up in their motto: "America Proud, Flatbed Strong." Interested candidates must meet specific requirements, including holding a valid CDL-A license, maintaining a safe driving record, being at least 21 years old, and having a limited job history for reliability.
