Job Description

Dart is a leading transportation company specializing in providing reliable, efficient, and safe over-the-road (OTR) trucking services across the United States. Renowned for its commitment to drivers and high standards of operational excellence, Dart stands out in the trucking industry by offering competitive pay, modern equipment, and a driver-centric culture. Established and operated by career truckers, Dart understands the unique challenges and needs of professional CDL-A drivers, ensuring that the company's policies and benefits genuinely support their workforce. Dart's approach focuses on long-term relationships, safety, and driver satisfaction, making it an employer of choice for truck drivers looking to advance their trucking careers.

This particular job opportunity is geared toward CDL-A drivers seeking either company driver positions or independent contractor opportunities. The company driver role offers a starting pay of 55 to 60 cents per mile (CPM), based on location, with additional incentives such as a sign-on bonus available in select markets. Company drivers can expect to run an average of 2,500 to 2,800 miles per week, with the top drivers averaging over 3,000 miles weekly. The job involves primarily no-touch freight, meaning minimal manual handling of cargo, allowing drivers to focus more on driving and less on physical labor. Military veterans benefit from higher pay rates, reflecting Dart's respect and appreciation for their service. Paid orientation further ensures that new hires are well prepared for their roles.

For independent contractors, Dart offers a 1099 owner-operator or lease purchase driving opportunities with competitive base CPM pay and fuel surcharge compensation. Independent contractors enjoy no forced dispatching or dispatch fees, free plates, immediate on-demand settlements, and lease payments starting as low as $385 per week. The company supports a sign-and-drive model, meaning drivers in this category can start without any upfront money, making it easier for new independent operators to get on the road quickly. High earners in this category can gross up to $200,000 annually, highlighting the lucrative potential of the role.

Additional enhancements for all drivers include an 80% or greater drop and hook ratio, a 401(k) retirement plan with company match, immediate pet and rider policies allowing drivers to bring along companions, paid holidays and vacation benefits, and the absence of driver-facing cameras, which supports driver privacy and comfort. Dart also offers attractive referral bonuses of up to $3,000 for bringing new drivers into the company.

This role is perfect for professional truck drivers who are looking for rewarding and flexible opportunities, whether as company drivers or independent contractors. Dart’s flexible options and robust benefits package demonstrate its dedication to driver satisfaction and career advancement. The company is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion, ensuring a respectful and discrimination-free work environment. This is an excellent career move for CDL-A drivers who want to be part of a respected and driver-focused truck driving company that truly values its workforce and rewards their hard work and commitment.
