Job Description
Dart is a leading transportation and logistics company specializing in providing top-tier over-the-road (OTR) truck driving opportunities for CDL-A drivers across the United States. Known for its commitment to truckers, Dart proudly offers both company driver positions and independent contractor opportunities, ensuring a flexible and rewarding driving career for professionals in the trucking industry. Founded and operated by experienced truckers, Dart understands the unique challenges and needs of drivers on the road, which positions the company as an industry leader focused on driver satisfaction and success.
Dart has established a strong reputation by consistently offering industry-leading pay and benefits, fostering a supportive work environment, and maintaining a focus on long-term driver career growth. For company drivers, Dart offers competitive pay starting at 55 to 60 cents per mile, along with significant sign-on bonuses in select markets. Drivers can expect to cover an average of 2,500 to 2,800 miles per week, with top performers reaching over 3,000 miles weekly. Additionally, the freight handled is 99% no-touch, significantly reducing the physical strain and complexity of cargo handling for drivers. Military veterans can benefit from higher pay rates as an acknowledgment of their service. Paid orientation ensures new drivers receive thorough training and support as they transition into their roles.
For independent contractors, Dart provides a lucrative 1099 position ideal for owner-operators or lease purchase drivers who want to maximize their earnings potential. Top earners in this category are reported to gross as much as $200,000 annually. The pay structure includes a base CPM (cents per mile) rate loaded and empty, with fuel surcharge compensation on all miles. Contractors benefit from no forced dispatch, no dispatch fees, free license plates, immediate on-demand settlements, and lease payments that start as low as $385 per week. The company encourages drivers to sign and drive with no money down, making it easier to start their lease purchase journey.
Additional benefits for all Dart drivers include over 80% drop and hook opportunities, 401(k) retirement plans with company matching, immediate pet and rider policies for driver comfort, paid holidays and vacations, and no driver-facing cameras to support privacy and trust. Referral bonuses up to $3,000 are also available as incentives to bring in new talent.
The role of a CDL-A driver at Dart is pivotal to the company's success, as drivers are responsible for safely transporting goods across various routes, maintaining compliance with safety regulations, and representing the company with professionalism. Dart is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace and encourages applicants from all backgrounds to apply, ensuring a respectful and discrimination-free environment.
Joining Dart means becoming part of a company that has long been dedicated to paying drivers better and offering more comprehensive benefits than many competitors. It is an excellent opportunity for CDL-A drivers seeking stable, well-paid, and rewarding careers in the trucking industry with a company that truly values its drivers.
