This particular role is focused on the position of Shuttle Driver, a critical function within the operational framework of Palmer Food Services. The Shuttle Driver is responsible for the safe and timely transportation of trailers according to predetermined routes, ensuring that freight is properly loaded, secured, and handled with care. A successful candidate will be involved in daily inspections of vehicles and trailers, reporting any safety issues, and performing hook and unhook procedures following established safety guidelines. Additionally, they will assist in fueling trucks and trailers, handle loading and unloading duties using forklifts and pallet jacks, and support warehouse crews as needed. Physical demands for this position include the ability to lift heavy products, climb in and out of commercial vehicles regularly, and work in various weather conditions.
