Job Description

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is a recognized leader in the convenience retail industry, steadily growing as a Fortune 150 company with over $23 billion in revenue. The company operates extensive distribution centers across the United States and Canada, supplying a broad array of fresh and diverse products to convenience stores and retailers. Core-Mark’s deep commitment to empowering customers, employees, and communities has established it as a trusted partner in the food distribution sector. This commitment is backed by a strong culture of safety, inclusivity, and respect, fostering an environment where employees are recognized and rewarded for their contributions. The company offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package that highlights its dedication to employee well-being from day one, including health and wellness benefits, 401K employer matching, and educational assistance.

The role of Hourly CDL-A Delivery Driver is essential in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of America’s food distribution chain. This position is primarily responsible for delivering food and food-related products along intrastate and interstate routes, ensuring that customer orders arrive safely, on time, and in excellent condition. Unlike traditional delivery roles, this position focuses exclusively on driving and delivery without requiring merchandising, stocking, or cash handling duties. Drivers operate well-maintained vehicles equipped with automatic transmissions, and company-provided uniforms and safety boots are supplied to ensure professionalism and safety. The schedule offers a 4-day workweek with shifts typically starting between 1 pm and 3 pm and lasting about 12 hours, providing a balance between work and personal life.

In this position, drivers perform critical safety inspections compliant with Department of Transportation regulations, maintain accurate records, and serve as the public face of Core-Mark during deliveries, fostering strong customer relationships through professional and courteous interactions. The role demands attention to detail and responsibility in handling goods, from inspecting loads to managing paperwork accurately. Additionally, drivers engage in routine maintenance and housekeeping duties to uphold the cleanliness and operational readiness of their equipment and trailers. This position offers competitive base pay starting at $28 per hour, with additional component pay based on job efficiency, overtime pay after 40 hours, and bonuses for working on off days.

Working as a delivery driver for Core-Mark means contributing to an essential supply chain that keeps communities stocked with necessary food products. It provides opportunities for growth within a stable and expanding company, emphasizing employee safety and career development. Core-Mark promotes a culture of inclusion that embraces diversity, offers equal employment opportunities, and adheres strictly to federal and state guidelines regarding employment practices. This role is ideal for individuals with commercial driving experience who prioritize safety, reliability, and customer service excellence while seeking a rewarding career path with a company known for its strong values and community focus.
