This position offers competitive compensation with an average yearly income of $80,000 or more, along with quarterly safety bonuses. Employees enjoy a standard five-day workweek from Monday through Saturday, with no work required on Sundays, although days off can vary, demanding a degree of flexibility. Drivers are responsible for maintaining the condition of the freight, adhering to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations, and representing the company as the primary face of service delivery.

In this role, drivers perform detailed inspections of their vehicles and trailers before and after trips, report safety issues or required repairs, and comply strictly with DOT safety guidelines. They engage professionally with customers, vendors, and coworkers to resolve inquiries and foster positive business relationships. Moreover, drivers manage the loading and unloading of goods, verify deliveries, collect payments when necessary, and maintain accurate records of their hours and deliveries.

The role requires physical capability to handle products ranging from 10 to 90 pounds using various equipment such as hand trucks and lift gates. Drivers also contribute to general housekeeping duties related to their equipment and work areas, ensuring a clean and organized environment.
