Job Description
Red Stag LLC is a premier transportation company specializing in refrigerated and temperature-controlled freight solutions across the United States. Known for its commitment to safety, quality service, and innovative logistics approaches, Red Stag LLC has earned a solid reputation among partners and customers in the transportation industry. The company operates a modern fleet and leverages advanced technology to ensure all shipments are handled efficiently and delivered promptly. Offering regional and long-haul trucking services, Red Stag LLC caters primarily to sectors that require specialized freight handling, including food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, and other temperature-sensitive goods.
The Regional Driver position at Red Stag LLC is a critical role focused on transporting bulk dairy products, specifically milk, from local dairy farms to processing plants. This role is ideal for experienced Class A CDL drivers with tanker endorsements who are committed to safety and maintaining the highest standards in handling perishable products. Drivers in this position play a vital role in ensuring the milk is delivered in excellent condition, adhering strictly to federal and state regulations that govern the transport of liquid food products.
As a Regional Driver, you will be responsible for loading milk products onto trailers using equipment designed for safe and efficient handling of bulk liquids. The role demands daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to guarantee the vehicle’s operational safety and compliance with maintenance standards. Maintaining accurate logs, delivery documentation, and related paperwork is essential to meet regulatory requirements and provide transparency throughout the delivery process.
Effective communication is a cornerstone of the role, requiring drivers to stay in close contact with dispatch teams to provide real-time updates about routes, scheduling, and any unexpected delays or issues. In addition, drivers must exhibit professionalism and courtesy while interacting with dairy farm staff, plant personnel, and other stakeholders to foster positive working relationships and uphold Red Stag LLC’s reputation for exemplary customer service.
This position requires a strong understanding of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs) and Hours of Service regulations, which are crucial to complying with safety standards and ensuring the wellbeing of drivers and the public. The ability to work independently with minimal supervision and adapt to the demands of flexible schedules—including holidays and weekends—is necessary to succeed in this role.
Physical demands include tasks such as climbing ladders to inspect trailer seals, handling up to 50 pounds, and performing various movements like bending, stooping, and crouching. These requirements underscore the physically active nature of the job, which is integral in handling the equipment and materials safely.
Red Stag LLC offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical insurance options like PPO, MEC, and HSA plans, dental and vision coverage, ancillary benefits comprising accident, short-term disability, life, and hospital coverage, and company-paid life insurance. Drivers also receive paid time off (PTO), holiday pay, and unique rider and pet policies that enhance job satisfaction and work-life balance. This role combines the opportunity to be part of a respected logistics provider with the chance to develop specialized expertise in the transportation of dairy products, making it a highly rewarding career option for qualified drivers.
