Job Description
Bulkley Trucking is a renowned transportation company that has been operating since 1987, building a reputation for respect, honesty, and providing good miles to its drivers. As a company committed to excellence and driver satisfaction, Bulkley Trucking specializes in over-the-road (OTR) freight hauling, offering reliable opportunities for professional truck drivers seeking both solo and team driving roles. Their approach, known as The Bulkley Trucking Way, emphasizes a strong company culture that values its drivers and fosters long-term employment relationships. Recognized for its dependable routes and commitment to driver well-being, Bulkley Trucking has become a preferred employer among CDL-A truck drivers across the country.
The company is currently looking to add dedicated CDL-A Company Solo and Team Over-the-Road Truck Drivers to their fleet. This role is pivotal for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of freight across various routes while upholding the company’s high standards for service and professionalism. Bulkley Trucking offers competitive pay packages where solo drivers can expect earnings in the range of $70,000 to $85,000 plus per year, while team drivers can earn between $78,000 to $90,000 plus annually. There is a $5,000 sign-on bonus available, alongside a guaranteed weekly minimum of $1,250. Pay rates range from $0.46 to $0.52 per mile for solo drivers and $0.57 to $0.67 per mile for team drivers, with additional fuel bonuses up to $0.05 CPM and per diem allowances based on driving status. Drivers also benefit from paid orientation programs and referral bonuses, which contribute to a rewarding and financially stable career.
Beyond competitive compensation, Bulkley Trucking supports its drivers with excellent home time policies, including a 34 or 48-hour reset, and provides no-touch freight assignments to reduce physical strain. The environment encourages community building through team potlucks and celebrates its workforce with a dedicated Driver Appreciation Week. Drivers have access to paid time off, short-term disability benefits, and comprehensive health packages covering dental, vision, and life insurance. The company also offers an advantageous matching 401(k) plan up to 3%, a rider pet program for added comfort, and direct deposit payments every Friday, providing both convenience and security.
Equipped with a modern fleet, drivers will operate new automatic Volvo trucks featuring Best Pass and DriverWise technology plus XM radio for an enhanced on-road experience. Bulkley Trucking ensures that all its drivers receive the tools and technology needed for a safe, comfortable, and efficient journey every day. Ideal candidates must hold a Class A CDL, be over 21 years old, and have at least one year of driving experience. Those with 6 to 12 months of experience may be required to start as part of a team before transitioning to solo driving. Candidates must also be willing to complete drug screenings including urinalysis and hair follicle testing.
This opportunity is an excellent fit for professional truck drivers who are looking for a stable career with a supportive company that values respect, provides honest pay, and promotes a positive work-life balance. Bulkley Trucking’s comprehensive benefits and competitive pay structure reflect their commitment to drivers, making this role a highly attractive option for seasoned and emerging CDL-A truck drivers alike.
