Job Description
Bulkley Trucking is a well-established trucking company that has been delivering respect, honesty, and excellent miles since 1987. Known for its commitment to quality service and driver satisfaction, Bulkley Trucking operates in the transportation industry, providing reliable and efficient freight solutions across various long-haul routes. The company values integrity and professionalism, upholding a culture that supports its drivers and encourages teamwork as well as individual excellence. As a respected player in the trucking sector, Bulkley Trucking prides itself on fostering a safe, supportive, and rewarding work environment for its employees.
The current opportunity is for CDL-A Company Solo and Team Over-The-Road (OTR) Truck Drivers. This role offers competitive pay and a comprehensive benefits package alongside the chance to drive new and well-maintained equipment including automatic Volvo trucks. Drivers will enjoy no-touch freight, which means minimal manual handling of goods, allowing them to focus on safe driving and timely deliveries. The position includes paid orientation, ensuring thorough preparation before hitting the road. In addition, Bulkley Trucking provides excellent home time policies with 34 or 48-hour reset options, allowing drivers to maintain a healthy work-life balance despite the demands of long-haul trucking.
Compensation for solo drivers ranges from $70,000 to $85,000 plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus, while team drivers can expect to earn between $78,000 and $90,000 plus the sign-on incentive. Drivers are guaranteed a minimum weekly pay of $1,250. The company offers competitive per mile pay, from $0.46 to $0.52 CPM for solo drivers and $0.57 to $0.67 CPM for team drivers. There are additional earnings through fuel bonuses up to $0.05 CPM on top of base pay, as well as per diem allowances ($0.15 for solo and $0.19 for team drivers). These competitive compensation structures are designed to motivate drivers and value their hard work and dedication.
Benefits for drivers at Bulkley Trucking include paid time off, short-term disability, comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, and matching 401(k) plan up to 3%. Drivers also benefit from unique perks such as team potlucks, huge driver appreciation week celebrations, and a rider pet program, fostering a more enjoyable and inclusive work culture. Weekly direct deposit payments provide financial convenience, while a variety of bonus opportunities ensure that dedicated drivers are rewarded beyond their regular pay.
Drivers can expect to use the latest technology and equipment, including XM radio and driver performance monitoring systems like Best Pass and DriverWise, to enhance their driving experience and safety on the road. Bulkley Trucking’s commitment to providing state-of-the-art trucks combined with strategic incentives and supportive policies makes this a compelling opportunity for qualified CDL-A drivers looking to join a reputable and driver-centric company.
