As a reputable player in the trucking industry, Bulkley Trucking places a strong emphasis on driver satisfaction and safety, delivering reliable freight services while ensuring that their drivers enjoy competitive pay and comprehensive benefits. This company prides itself on fostering a supportive and respectful work environment, which contributes to its long-standing success and positive reputation among truck drivers.
The role of CDL-A Company Solo and Team OTR Truck Drivers at Bulkley Trucking offers an excellent opportunity for skilled drivers looking to join a company that values their contributions and rewards their hard work. These positions are designed to accommodate both solo drivers and driving teams, offering flexible options for those seeking long-haul over-the-road (OTR) driving assignments. Drivers can expect to haul no-touch freight, reducing the physical demands commonly associated with loading and unloading cargo. This role demands high standards of professionalism, route adherence, and safe vehicle operation, as well as excellent communication skills for coordinating with dispatch and other team members.
Bulkley Trucking offers a competitive pay package, with solo drivers earning between $70,000 and $85,000 annually, and team drivers earning between $78,000 and $90,000 or more. Additional financial incentives include a $5,000 sign-on bonus, a $1,250 guaranteed weekly minimum, fuel bonuses of up to $0.05 per mile on top of base pay, and per diem allowances. Orientation is paid, and drivers can also earn a $1,000 referral bonus. With base pay rates ranging from $0.46 to $0.52 per mile for solo drivers and $0.57 to $0.67 per mile for teams, drivers at Bulkley Trucking receive lucrative compensation for their miles.
Beyond salary, Bulkley Trucking provides a robust package of benefits that support drivers' well-being and work-life balance. Benefits include excellent home time with reset options of 34 or 48 hours, paid time off, full health, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, along with short-term disability benefits. Drivers also enjoy perks such as team potlucks, a rider pet program, weekly direct deposit, and participation in an exciting driver appreciation week celebration. The company also offers a matching 401(k) plan up to 3%, enhancing retirement savings opportunities for its drivers.
Bulkley Trucking invests in top-tier equipment to ensure safety and comfort on the road. Drivers operate new automatic Volvo trucks equipped with the Best Pass/DriverWise systems and XM radio for entertainment and convenience during long routes. This focus on quality equipment underscores the company’s dedication to providing drivers with a positive and productive work environment.
Overall, the CDL-A Company Solo and Team OTR Truck Driver positions at Bulkley Trucking present an outstanding career path for truck drivers who seek competitive pay, comprehensive benefits, excellent home time, and a respectful company culture. Whether you are an experienced solo driver or a team driver looking to join a supportive company, Bulkley Trucking offers the tools and incentives to succeed in the fast-paced trucking industry.
