This role offers the opportunity to join a professional team responsible for transporting hazardous materials including petroleum and other bulk liquids via tanker trailers. This is a full-time position with an attractive average annual salary of $55,000. The Company Driver role at UPT requires compliance with strict safety and operational standards due to the hazardous nature of the cargo transported. Drivers must have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license along with tanker and hazmat endorsements. Job Requirements
- Minimum 22 years of age
- Hazmat and tanker endorsements required
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- 6 months of verifiable Class A tanker experience within the past 2 years or 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer experience within 3 years
- Military driving experience accompanied by DD214 and MOS record or Commanding Officer’s letter
- Ability to pass urine and hair follicle test
- No SAP program members or graduates
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A commercial driver’s license
- Tanker and hazmat endorsements required
- Minimum 6 months of verifiable Class A tanker experience or 1 year of Class A tractor-trailer experience
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass urine and hair follicle drug tests
- Military driving experience considered with proper documentation
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations
Job Duties
- Operate Class A tanker trucks safely and efficiently
- Transport hazardous materials including petroleum and petrochemicals
- Comply with all Department of Transportation and company safety policies
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance
- Complete delivery routes on schedule
- Maintain accurate logs and paperwork
- Participate in ongoing safety and training programs
