Sysco is currently seeking dependable local CDL A Delivery Truck Drivers to join their team. This role is critical in maintaining the company’s promise to deliver a wide variety of products safely and on time. The successful candidates will operate tractor-trailers on assigned route schedules to deliver goods such as meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies directly to customer locations. Job Requirements
- must be 21 years of age or older
- must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening
- must possess a valid Class A Commercial Driver License with clean driving record
- must be able to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate and understand traffic signs
- must be physically able to lift, push, or move products weighing up to 100 pounds repeatedly
- must have flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as business requires
Job Qualifications
- 21 years of age or older
- valid Class A Commercial Driver License (CDL) with clean driving record
- ability to read and speak English sufficiently for communication and understanding traffic signs
- physical ability to handle freight weighing between 40 to 100 pounds
- flexibility to work overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed
- preferred 1 year of customer delivery experience
- preferred 6 months hand cart or hand truck experience
- preferred 6 months food and beverage industry experience
- preferred 2 years consistent work history
Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer safely and efficiently on assigned routes
- manually unload and deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
- build positive relationships with customers through friendly and professional interaction
- familiarize with customer operations to meet their needs and expectations
- comply with all traffic laws and company safety policies
- maintain accurate delivery records and documents
- perform physical tasks such as lifting, pushing, or moving products weighing up to 100 pounds
