Job Requirements
- Minimum age of 21 years
- ability to pass pre-employment background check and drug screen
- valid Class A Commercial Driver License
- ability to read and speak English
- physical ability to lift and move heavy freight
- flexibility to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed
- 1 year of customer delivery experience preferred
- 6 months hand cart/hand truck experience preferred
- 6 months food and beverage experience preferred
- 2 years consistent work history preferred
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License with clean driving record
- ability to read, speak and understand English sufficiently to converse with the public and understand highway traffic signs
- physical capability to frequently lift and move products weighing 40-60 pounds and up to 100 pounds
- strong customer service and communication skills
- previous experience in delivery driving or food and beverage industry preferred
- demonstrated reliability and flexibility in work schedule
Job Duties
- Operate tractor-trailer safely and efficiently for local deliveries
- manually unload and deliver various products including meats, produce, frozen foods, groceries, dry goods, and supplies
- build and maintain positive relationships with customers
- become familiar with customer operations to meet needs and expectations
- adhere to assigned route schedules and timeframes
- ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
