Job Requirements
- Possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license
- Have at least 12 months of recent driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical examination and drug testing
- Maintain a clean driving record
- Availability to work as an independent contractor on a 1099 basis
- Capacity to manage financial responsibilities related to lease payments and business operations
- Basic understanding of truck operation and safety compliance
Job Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL
- Minimum of 12 months recent commercial driving experience
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards
- Ability to operate automatic transmission trucks
- Experience in long-haul or regional trucking preferred
- Good communication and time management skills
- Knowledge of truck maintenance basics
Job Duties
- Operate a leased Freightliner Cascadia truck equipped with APU and modern conveniences
- Manage routes primarily in the Central Plains and Georgia regions
- Ensure compliance with all DOT and safety regulations
- Maintain the truck in good working condition and report any maintenance needs
- Participate in safety incentive programs and adhere to company safety standards
- Utilize fuel discounts and manage fuel consumption efficiently
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and company personnel to coordinate loads and schedules
