Job Requirements
- Must hold a valid CDL-A license
- Minimum of 12 months recent commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass a DOT physical examination
- Clean driving record and background check
- Must be legally authorized to work as an independent contractor
- Ability to manage financial responsibilities associated with lease purchase
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance
Job Qualifications
- Valid CDL-A license
- Minimum of 12 months recent driving experience
- Proven ability to operate commercial tractors safely
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and trucking industry standards
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to manage independent contractor responsibilities effectively
- Basic mechanical knowledge for truck upkeep
Job Duties
- Operate leased tractor in compliance with all DOT regulations and company policies
- Maintain the assigned truck in good working condition including routine inspections and timely reporting of any issues
- Adhere to safety protocols and participate in the company safety incentive program
- Manage delivery schedules and routes efficiently to maximize mileage and revenue
- Communicate professionally with dispatch and customers to ensure smooth freight operations
- Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel purchases, and other operational expenses
- Participate in the lease purchase program requirements including financial and maintenance obligations
