The Casual Driver position at UPS is a part-time, as-needed role designed to provide temporary coverage for regular employees who are absent due to illness, vacation, or other reasons. This position is vital to maintaining seamless operations, ensuring packages are delivered and picked up efficiently to meet customer demands. Casual Drivers perform multiple functions including loading and unloading packages, shipping, receiving, scanning, sorting, and stocking items using appropriate heavy machinery like forklifts. Drivers will manage deliveries and pickups to and from residential and commercial locations, employing safe driving practices and leveraging advanced technology to optimize route execution and package tracking. Although this role is part-time and scheduled on an irregular basis, employees receive benefits on days worked. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who hold a Class A CDL with a hazmat endorsement, have forklift experience, and maintain a spotless driving record. Employees in this role must demonstrate flexibility and readiness to contribute to a dynamic team environment. Job Requirements

  • prior forklift operation experience
  • no restrictions on driver’s license
  • no accidents in the last 1-2 years
  • ability to work flexible hours
