Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of route delivery experience or applicable background driving a straight truck
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to communicate and understand traffic signals
- Capability to operate vehicle in diverse traffic and weather conditions
- Ability to meet or exceed productivity levels and error goals
- Proven customer service and problem resolution skills
- Independent work planning and organizational ability
- Knowledge of inventory control and product handling procedures
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- One year of route delivery experience or applicable straight truck driving experience
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to read, speak, and understand English
- Strong customer relations and problem resolution skills
- Ability to operate vehicles in various traffic and weather conditions
- Effective planning and organizational skills independent of supervision
- Good knowledge of product and inventory control techniques
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to perform simple arithmetic
Job Duties
- Run daily routes with frequent stops efficiently
- Load packages onto hand trucks and unload product at each stop
- Operate within a cross dock model picking up loaded trucks and returning empty trucks
- Assist with loading trucks and palletizing product when required
- Verify delivery items with customers and obtain proper signatures
- Handle customer complaints professionally
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections according to DOT regulations
