Job Description

McLane Company is a leading distributor with over 130 years of experience in supply chain management and logistics. Since its establishment in 1894, McLane has built an expansive nationwide network serving clients across various industries including restaurant, retail, and e-commerce. The company is known for its commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation, leveraging the latest technology and continuous team member training to maintain industry leadership. With a strong people-centered culture, McLane prioritizes employee well-being and career development while ensuring secure and efficient client service. McLane values diversity and inclusion, ensuring equal employment opportunities regardless of age, race, gender, or other protected statuses. The company also maintains strict compliance with legal and safety standards to provide a trusted environment for teams to thrive.

The CDL-A Delivery Driver role at McLane offers an exceptional opportunity for commercial drivers to advance their careers in a supportive and rewarding environment. As a CDL-A driver, you will operate tractor-trailers delivering products primarily from the Sidney, Ohio warehouse to affiliated warehouses, assisting with loading and sorting pre-palletized goods. This role emphasizes safety and efficiency, requiring careful inspection of vehicles before and after trips, adherence to DOT regulations, and accurate delivery documentation. Drivers enjoy an average of two routes per week, averaging 28 hours, with team-based runs and approximately half the time spent resting at the berth. Notably, there is no ramp unloading involved, and all equipment—including tractors less than three years old—is provided and well-maintained.

McLane offers industry-leading pay ranging from $95,000 to $125,000 annually, with the advantage of being home on weekends due to a Monday through Friday schedule. Drivers benefit from medical, dental, and vision insurance starting on day one, along with FSA/HSA options and company-paid life insurance. Additional financial benefits include a 401(k) profit sharing plan after 90 days of employment. Paid holidays, vacation time, and sick leave accrue immediately to support work-life balance. Further perks such as pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, tuition reimbursement, and discount programs make McLane a comprehensive employer choice.

This role is well-suited for safety-focused, reliable, adaptable, and dedicated individuals who hold a valid Class A commercial driver’s license and possess at least one year or 50,000 verifiable miles of tractor-trailer driving experience. Candidates must meet McLane’s motor vehicle record (MVR) and risk rating qualifications and demonstrate proficient English reading, writing, and comprehension skills necessary for understanding work instructions and safety communications. If you are driven to build a long-lasting career with a respected industry leader and enjoy predictable schedules with meaningful benefits, McLane’s CDL-A Delivery Driver position is an ideal match.
